    Few questions:
    1. Now we know the weight how much faster 0-60 & quarter mile vs 2014
2.Is it possible to install the dual clutch tranny into the 2014? If so which one would win quarter mile?
    3. 5.8 vs 5.2 which engine has more modded HP potential?
    4. Is the cost of 2020 woth the cost over the 2014 for minimal proformance gains?

Not trying to piss anyone off that is buying a 2020.

    It’s a great car.

Just feel like if the 2014 had an automatic and better tires it would be Kind of the hill still..

2020 vs 2014 is not "minimal" gains by any means. The 2020 is far superior in every way.

Yeah unfortunately stock for stock the 2020 GT500 is better in basically every way. I could be wrong, but I don't believe anyone makes a bolt in DCT transmission for the 13/14 GT500. If you swapped a 6R80 in a stock 2014 GT500 with a good tire it should go high 10s, I'm almost certain the 5.2 in the 2020 will be able to handle a lot more power than the 2014 5.8, But the DCT might have some limitations on upgraded power and what it can handle, but I don't think it will.

I'm still happy with my 14 GT500 and I'm ok waiting awhile to see how the new GT500 is in the real world. Not to mention as time goes on they're going to make it better and better. So I'll maybe get a 2021 or 2022 model and it has to have the carbon package.

Sounds about right, I think the fastest bone stock 13/14 went 11.2.

Does the 2020 have a bigger blower? Just wondering how a smaller displacement engine is able to generate so much more power?

What happened to no replacement for displacement? Lol

Yes, it's a 2.65, and technology makes it go faster bud

I guess we’ll see. With the extra weight not convinced it’s going to be all that much faster.

I’m anxious to see how mod friendly the 2020’s will be.

No need to be convinced. Its faster out of the gate period. Weight means nothing. As stated swaping 6r80 is your best option. Also those trans are very stout too.

A 2007-14 GT500 with a 2.65L Supercharger with supporting mods will make more power than the 2020. That’s a whole lot of $$$ for a blower swap. Ford should have given us more than just a bigger blower for waiting 6 years. Where is the Twin Turbo V8s?

What exactly is the end goal with the comparison though? I feel like everyone does the "well slap the same blower on this car and it makes more power, so why bother with the 2020". Same thing when the 13/14s came out. "Well slap this blower on a previous model and boom!". lol.

It's not just power. The 2020 will run circles around previous gen 500s at the track/road course, and significantly faster it seems in the 1/4 then the 13/14 and before as well.

It's all the other items that have gone into the 2020 that make it a great car. Not just more poowaahh!

Based on what? The 2020 has substantially better heads, and revs higher. The marginal increase in displacement alone is not enough to make up the difference.

The new gt500 is going to be a great starting platform, once it starts being modded it's going to be a monster

I'm guessing with a good tire out back the 2020 will do bottom 10s @ low 130s. The DCT will make any driver seem great.

Revs. 5.4 and 5.8 have a 4.165” stroke which limits revs, and where power is made for safety. Trinity Gt500’s peak around 66-6700rpm and taper up a few hp by 6800, level off.

The 2020 5.2 has a 3.8” stroke iirc and 3.75” bore, and revs clean to 8000, or in this case 7500. Peak power is at 7400.

From there, the heads are much better on this gt500 being coyote architecture vs modular architecture.

The real problem with producing power from revs on the trinity is the stroke, and further it had 9.0/1 vs the 2020 9.5/1 compression.

Lastly, the computer on the gt500 was great, but the coyote based stuff is dual wideband and easier to safely make more power all the time.

I have a full tilt 5.3L 3.7x3.8” modular with heavily ported gt500 heads, stage 3 cams, twin 62’s, and an fr500c on my 03 cobra at 9.3/1, and NA it’s good for about 450-475whp. On 10.75psi it makes 813whp, 1208whp 30psi. Thing is if I did the exact same with the coyote stuff as a base, it would be much torquier at idle to 4000rpm (the weakest spot of the modular power production) and pick up 50-100whp up top due to better head flow.
