Roush @ $7859.00 or Gen 5x Whipple at $7699.00....

Whipple seems to be the most popular and the 5x version is on sale(i assume to being phased out for the Gen 6?). For $8000 it feels like a total steal.

Any vendor want to help me choose?

Its amazing how greedy we get! (In a good way! lol)
25 years ago, the times you're running in your daily driver 4 door pickup...are roughly the same as the "quick" LS1 F body!
We are so jaded now with easy BIG bolt on power.
I've been tempted to bolt a blower on my F150...but I need to compromise on the ability to achieve "reasonable" mpg. I'm assuming a centrifugal might work better from a mpg standpoint....but a positive displacement blower has the torque for days that I crave!!

I don’t think either setup uses much power at all when the bypass is open

Maybe...? My only experience was with the '07 GT500. That got about the same mpg as a full size truck when I was just cruising, less when I wasn't. It only got worse after the TVS. But it was a helluva lot of fun!
It would be interesting to know what the parasitic drag of one of these newer blowers is with the bypass open.

Starting to look into the supercharger kits. Want a one and done kit. Install and then leave it with no plans to push the motor or transmission. 650hp is more than enough.

Whipple - the Ford approved kit and the most popular. Expensive as hell compared to all of the others. All the low down torque with the twin screw type blower.

ESS - centrifugal kit that alot of people seem to really like. Easy install and support according to reviews. More linear powerband versus the Roots/Twin Screw kits. A ton of reviews on it with great results.

Procharger - new to market for the F150. Less heat generated versus the Twin Screw or Roots type blowers. No reviews out there at all. Linear powerband. Not much else to go off of?

Roush - 2650TVS kit. Cheaper than the Whipple by a few thousand. Not as much potential down the road but i dont really plan on doing much more than bolting it on. Heard the induction kit that is included is flat garbage but everything else is well fitted. Other reviews seem to like it but i keep hearing word of mouth that the Roush kit is junk. Not sure what to think as ive seen them installed on prior year F150's with OE fitment.

What is everyone's thoughts on a kit? On each kit? Which would you choose?

Whipple 3.0 Stage 2 kit. 775hp for $10k. Should make good power for sure with the right tune.

Roush is a pretty solid kit. 700hp for $8650. I'd be happy with that. Great for the price. They been doing supercharger kits for Coyotes for a long time.

I think Whipple if you want more power and can afford it. Or Roush if you're content with a good amount of power for the price.

Im thinking a good amount of power over just all out power wars type of scenario.

Whipple does have the Stage 1 kit which is still 725hp/650tq.

Is this Whipple a bitch to install? Heard its a royal pain to get to the back bolts and such.
