The green one looks pretty good. All the updates make sense and should boost sales even higher.
Unfortunately no power improvement for the "performance" version... Lobo
This. I priced a 2024 AWD XLT yesterday and a 2025 AWD XLT this morning with the same options. Base price increased around $2200 on the new 2025. The one option I wanted the FX4 package was available alone for $800 on the 2024 but with the 2025 you have to add $1995 for the luxury package that I would not want over the $800 for the FX4 package. So for a 2024 built it for 31,800 and the 2025 is now 34,545. Plus they dropped Atlas Blue which I wanted for Velocity Blue on the 2025.Thanks FordLove the updates and that the hybrid now gets AWD, but damn have the prices for these trucks climbed a bit since they came out.
I was hoping for an ST model with more power... 2.3 ecoboost. Not a big deal if the ECU doesn't change from the current model. It's unencrypted and has been tunable for years.

I'm impressed they brought in a different trans specifically for this model. That alone should make it feel "sportier" (and probably burned up a bunch of the budget for drivetrain changes)Unfortunately no power improvement for the "performance" version... Lobo
I would LOVE to see that! But man...I have given up on any new models getting a 3rd pedal....Don't forget the manual.
Not feeling the Lobo version and no change in power. All looks like Ford always does. With an MSRP of 40K plus they can have it. I have no idea where this photo is from and probably chopped but an ST like this with the RS engine de-tuned to 330hp and the AWD platform with the 2018 Quaiffe front differential would have made one nasty Maverick pickup...lolI have read that it is the same transmission, but just skips 2nd, which mine does already with my tune. Others say it is the transmission from the Euro Focus ST, but I thought that was DCT...
They have ruined the looks and less power bites, but I do like port with DI injection.
The Lobo isn't real serious. 225 width Wrangler tires, etc. They had the RS drivetrain and just ignored it. Damn bean counters and regulatory agencies!

Thanks Bob. Like it says in that Motor1 article....Ford is insane if they do not build this. But that is Ford today don't give the buyers what they would like and why again I have not bought a new Ford since 2017 and probably will not buy a new one. Here's where the photo came from. Another link that depicts the unofficial rendering in another color.
I can attest that the current EcoBoost Maverick is very tunable and since it now has a larger fuel pump compared to the old Focus ST, etc. it can run an E50 tune just fine. This new 2025 version of the 2.0 Ecoboost has dual injection, so it may be possible to run pure E85. If you can find it.Not a big deal if the ECU doesn't change from the current model. It's unencrypted and has been tunable for years.
