Yeah, that green is pretty nice. The Grabber Blue interior accents would clash. LOL. Nice truck for those who don't need or want a full size pickup. JMO.

Love the updates and that the hybrid now gets AWD, but damn have the prices for these trucks climbed a bit since they came out.
This. I priced a 2024 AWD XLT yesterday and a 2025 AWD XLT this morning with the same options. Base price increased around $2200 on the new 2025. The one option I wanted the FX4 package was available alone for $800 on the 2024 but with the 2025 you have to add $1995 for the luxury package that I would not want over the $800 for the FX4 package. So for a 2024 built it for 31,800 and the 2025 is now 34,545. Plus they dropped Atlas Blue which I wanted for Velocity Blue on the 2025.Thanks Ford

I'll do a 2WD Lariat soon. Any thoughts on the hybrid vs the 2L EB @SID297 and @13COBRA? I see a ton more hybrids here local.

I like them both. We sell more of the regular ones because we get snow up here and until 2025, the Hybrid variant only came in FWD....now they are AWD as well.

Even the base gas engine gets good fuel mileage. I've sold 33 Mavericks and have never had one complaint about them. Solid 'trucks'.

Unfortunately no power improvement for the "performance" version... Lobo
I'm impressed they brought in a different trans specifically for this model. That alone should make it feel "sportier" (and probably burned up a bunch of the budget for drivetrain changes)
I'd be interested from the engineers perspective if a sportier trans "feels" better than more power from a 300hp 2.3 & lamer shifting trans.
Also curious why the 2.0 is detuned to 238hp from 250hp...?
Don't forget the manual.
I would LOVE to see that! But man...I have given up on any new models getting a 3rd pedal....

I have read that it is the same transmission, but just skips 2nd, which mine does already with my tune. Others say it is the transmission from the Euro Focus ST, but I thought that was DCT...

They have ruined the looks and less power bites, but I do like port with DI injection.

The Lobo isn't really serious. 225 width Wrangler tires, etc. They had the RS drivetrain and just ignored it. Damn bean counters and regulatory agencies!

Not feeling the Lobo version and no change in power. All looks like Ford always does. With an MSRP of 40K plus they can have it. I have no idea where this photo is from and probably chopped but an ST like this with the RS engine de-tuned to 330hp and the AWD platform with the 2018 Quaiffe front differential would have made one nasty Maverick pickup...lol

Here's where the photo came from. Motor Trend article dated June 23, 2021.

Another link that depicts the unofficial rendering in another color.

Thanks Bob. Like it says in that Motor1 article....Ford is insane if they do not build this. But that is Ford today don't give the buyers what they would like and why again I have not bought a new Ford since 2017 and probably will not buy a new one.

Not a big deal if the ECU doesn't change from the current model. It's unencrypted and has been tunable for years.
I can attest that the current EcoBoost Maverick is very tunable and since it now has a larger fuel pump compared to the old Focus ST, etc. it can run an E50 tune just fine. This new 2025 version of the 2.0 Ecoboost has dual injection, so it may be possible to run pure E85. If you can find it.

The front is still ugly, and they all should have the dark interior like my black package. Looks great without all of those weirdly colored accents and light gray.

Wow, that is some strange news. "Gas particulate filters work essentially the same way and are placed in a vehicle’s exhaust system to trap pollutants and keep them from exiting the vehicle and harming the environment." Here's the potential KICKER, though, for the owner. "The filters can be pricey to replace – as much as $4,000 in some instances." Holy crap, will catalytic converter thieves start to target Maverick exhaust systems to grab the expensive gas particulate filter if their value is close to $4 grand?
