I went from factory 3.73s to 3.31s in my Boss. Did not notice one bit of difference to be honest, except now I can get through the 1/4 mile in 4th gear.

I've been thinking about going down from a 3.73 to a 3.55/3.31. Mostly for quarter mile purposes. 4th gear with 3.73's runs out in the low 120's. I'd like to be able to have the room/gears to trap low 130's (with future mods) without having to go into 5th gear.

Does anyone know what mph 4th gear with 3.55's at 7500rpms?

^if you dont care about that stuff then just buy the car, drive it with the stock gears, upgrade to 3.73's in the future if/when the mod bug hits you.

What size tire are you running? My 4th runs out at 125 with 3.31s

I got my 2012 GT with the 373 gear package and it is a perfect match with the M6 both on the street and highway.

what's the best people are seeing with bolt on's for a trap speed....I think I have seen a few 117's...

full bolton's + driver mod, weight reduction and slicks and skinnie's i seen go low 120's but again its all in the driver

With 3.73s, 7500 rpm in 4th gear was 121 mph
With 3.31s, 7500 rpm in 4th gear was 138 mph and 7900 was 141 mph.
This is on stock tire diameter.

I have 3.73's and I'm at about 2500 rpm @ 80mph. I'm thinking 3.55's would be my best bet. I don't want to rip apart the rear though, rather just swap with someone local.

I think 3.55's are the best of both worlds. 3.31's make 6th gear annoying and unusable.
