Will I be able to special order 3.55 gears for the GT500? I do not want to change gears after I get the car. This will be a cruiser for me.

Nope, but a gear change shouldn't be a big deal.

With 7-speeds versus 6 on the old car (with one of those 6 being mostly unusable) changing from 3.73 to 3.55 won't be worth it.
