I have been without a mustang for over four years. I have been looking and patiently waiting to find a decently fox body coupe for about the last year. Found this 1991 116k two owner car. It’s totally stock.
I made a 13 hour road trip yesterday to get. It’s not perfect but it’s a 30 year old car that was well maintained.

What would you pay for this car?

That's an interesting question. There are lots of factors to consider here. What are your plans for it/why did you buy it (i.e. build it up, keep it stock/original, restore it, etc.)?

It's not a Cobra or GT. It's white and not some exotic color. It's automatic and has 116K on the clock. Not bad for being 30 years old, but could be getting ready to hit the rebuilding phase (transmission, rear end or engine).

However, it is a V8 and it is completely stock.

I have NOT been in the market and do NOT know asking prices. So, for what I see and what "I" would pay I would say between 8 and 10K. Remember, I said for "me."

There could be other factors here for "YOU" that I'm not aware of (i.e. how long you have been looking for this specific car, what "YOU" want in a Fox Body, any special history or memories you have had with a previous Fox Body, or something you absolutely did "NOT" want such as red interior, etc.).

Remember Lamborghinis go for hundreds of thousands of dollars and "I" wouldn't pay that much for one, but obviously other people do LOL.

Whatever you paid, as long as you like it, have what you want and enjoy it that's all that matters. I'm currently building my 65 Mustang to "MY" specifications and my Dad always tells me I'm spending way to much on it. Oh well. I think it's bad@$$ LOL...…..

Car looks good especially for its age. But gotta be honest here as I was scrolling through the pictures I was thinking "please don't let it be an automatic"....

Value of clean original Fox body cars right now is off the charts. Especially the notches. I don't really know what the automatic does for the value but I'd guess it hurts it some. My logic is that the person that is probably going to pony up the money that these cars are worth will be late 40's to late 50's. That age bracket is looking to relive their youth or finally get a car that they loved but couldn't afford back then and now can. That type of buyer is most likely looking for a stick shift which was hugely popular back in their days. JMO though.

I'd say if you bought that car for $10k you made a great buy

LOL, and I thought I had no idea about the market for Fox Bodies.

My thought process was I seen 93 Cobras going for between 20 and 30K. Hell, there's a guy on this site asking over 40K for his Teal 93 Cobra.

Therefore, GT's are in the mid to high teens. So, I felt the LX's/Notches are 10K or below (depending on condition and modifications of course).

So, that's where my price range came from. According to the OP, it would seem I was pretty darn close......

I say he paid 15 for it which in my opinion still a good price considering today's market. Clean Notches come with a premium and are in really high demand right now. Heck even clean 4 banger Notches are in high demand right now due to the shortage of v8 Notches. I know some people get mad that these old mustang's are costly but that's just market and I don't see them coming down in price anytime soon.

Not sure what you think the market should be, but I'll tell you two things...

1.) A product or service is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it...

2.) More specifically, around here a clean 91 to 93 v8 Fox with less than 40k miles, near me, sells for about $3,500. High mileage cars (100k+), even in fair shape, are selling for $1500.
