Right now i have 4.10 FR gears and was considering going to 3.73 since i DD my car. Just wanted some thoughts on if this change is really worth the 200$ for the driveability... Thoughts?

My car being a a5 car I prefer the 4.10's I dont mind them because I bought this car with the track in mind .

In a daily driver the 3.73's are better to some people.

I daily drive mine as well and i just bought a set of 4.10's, and now i am second guessing myself with the gas prices soaring, I am auto though..let us know what you decide...I love the stance on your car, awesome!!

It won't make much difference. In a manual 5th gear is .68. This gives you an effective gear ratio of 2.79 in 5th with 4.10's. 3.73's would be 2.54.

4.10 -> 3.73? You will notice the difference. Especially taking off from a stand still lol. I prefer 3.73 to be honest on my GT , saves on gas but still gets you going quickly if your ummm racing someone . But whatever you decide to do, best of luck to ya:beer:

I run the FR 4.10 in mine. But it is recomended for me to run them because of my cams. If I didn't have to run them I would run the 3.73. I have 60 lbs fule injectors so the gas goes quick anyway.

Do you do mostly highway or city driving? That's probably a big thing. I have stock gears in my car but it's kinda a turd at low rpms. If i was to ever do gears it would be 3.73s but since u have 4.10s already i'd stay there. My buddy has a 05 gt 5spd and 4.10s and he says he still gets the same mpgs. Depends on your driving style.
