My car is in the shop for a rebuild and turbo install. I have been listening to turbo'd Cobras for months now. I just can't decide on what I want with my 98.
I keep going back to Magnaflow, but I'd like something different.
I was also thinking Bassani, but cant find just the mufflers for sale.
So what do you guys run, and any vids/sound clips?
Anyone run a single side exhaust, and have MM sfc's?

Custom, you have a choice. Either open from turbo and wastegate or tie it into the full exhaust.

Now you have to think Pro's & Con's.

Pro's open dumps turbo & wastegate: More power, cheaper.
Con's: Loud as hell, won't pass inspection.

Pro's tying into full exhaust: unsuspecting, quite.
Con's: Sacrifice power, more expensive.

The Open dumps might not work for you depending on your states laws/rules on the noise and emissions. We don't have either in my state. Ever run against a open dump big turbo car brake boosting next to you, it's loud...

I just did a search on borla and magnaflow and I found both "just mufflers" on Amazon for sale.

Not Borla, I was looking for Bassani. The BX series (I believe that's what they use in the catbacks).

I cant run open exhaust. Needs to be some sort of catback.

Mine with magnaflows sounded like dog shit but I lived with it.

I initially started with open dump wastegate but that got old quick. Recirculating the wastegate vent was the best mod I did on that car. Much more enjoyable sound at WOT.

If you run mufflers they should be a straight through design like the ultra flows badcobra mentioned.

No baffles. No chambers.

Which Vibrant? You are running cats?
Any pics or sound clips?

Vibrant Performance ::.
I was yes, No sorry.

I have full exhaust with Loudvalves cutouts, they open up at 6psi. The mufflers are Dynomax UltraFlows.

I have heard this exhaust in person, and unsuspecting is a under statement. So quiet until he gets in it. I would ask Badcobra(Tony) what his set up is and just copy it.

I hear a lot of turbo people go with Ultraflows.

I heard a Magnapack car with O/R H and turbo and it sounded like sex.
So many damn choices...

I don't get caught up in what sounds the best. On a turbo car, the exhaust never sounds as good as a supercharged or N/A car sounds unfortunately. Do what works and will make the most power. Consider the Loudvalves for cutouts, they work amazing and are worth a good bit of power. I'd guess 50 or more.

I'm not sure if this helps but I run Ultra Flows on my 2V with an additional third muffler that I made myself to keep it really quiet. I also made hemholtz resonators to eliminate the drone.

I will def look into the Loudvalves. Would they require a separate tune?
