I'm planning to do the jmod this weekend and was wondering what causes the check balls to go bad. The car has a trans cooler and trans fluid tends to run at 170-180 degrees. There's 95k miles on the trans and fluid/filter have been changed at least once before. I'm just wondering if I should order a set of check balls and delay the mod just in case before i pull the valve body since I have to do it in one afternoon.
