Really?
A budget thing when you’re spending this much doesn’t make sense.

Just thinking out loud. It seems to be the easiest thing to trim now And do later. I don’t remember what I Paid to have it done. Maybe 1,200 with shipping.

I understand I just assume with the porting and engine build they’re doing it’ll probably be an extra $500 and worth a ton of power or cost him a ton of power.
Or we can just wait for a You Tube explanation.

I might be swapping the entire lower intake for a new one when it’s available. It might be beneficial to test before and after with dyno results. This is why I’m okay with installing the stock one.

What’s the goal for this combo Gen3R/ported heads/cams/10.5:1. 1250?

You Tube goals?
:)
Should have no problem with 1100rwhp.
Thankfully he does race it so the 9s quarter mile with a manual should happen very easily.

I know he's doing a full fuel system, but that 8.8 will need some love for 1/4 runs.

YouTube? That combo should make 1200+ all day. You put your car on the dyno after the 2.65R?

I picked up my new Stage 3 Ported VMP Gen 3 R which is now equipped with a Low vacuum Bypass Valve as well for the MHS Stage 3 Cams. I also picked up some other parts:
-Mantic Triple Disc Clutch
-JLT 148mm Cold Air Intake
-ID1300 Injectors
-BMR Tubular K-Member
-BPS 15" Rear Conversion Kit
-MGW Short Throw Shifter

I still need to pick up either a ATI 10% Balancer or Innovators West 10% Balancer. The goal is to break the engine in and make around 1000RWHP with 20 PSI and Pump E85 and turn it up later.

Just so you know, the 10% IW has a larger diameter than the 10% ATI and is more like 12% overdrive. ATI's stock balancer is more like 6% overdrive.

Is that actually confirmed or internet heresay? I thought I read somewhere that was not entirely correct.

@MrAjsTech , aren’t those 1300’s gonna be cutting it a little tight with those goals?

That's going to be a nasty setup. I know Lund Sr's personal GT500 made just about 1300whp with basically the same setup you have. so you'll probably be close to that, I think his engine is 11.1 compression

For those that want to see real pics of the max effort Gen 3R without only going to You Tube, here’s the one I’ve had at my house for a little while. I know what Lund did with it, now I’ll see how far it’ll take me at the track. I assume this is the same blower Andrew is using. It is the VMP stage 3 Gen 3R and then finished ported by Jokerz for VMP. It is the most max effort TVS you can go without doing a custom case.
I’ll be combining it with VMPs new intercooler brick with larger water ports (and an auxiliary idler that still allows the larger water lines).
Enjoy.

What is this new intercooler brick you speak of? I don't see it on VMPs site. Can you give anymore details at this point? Love the ported blower.

So when you are going to dyno tune with this bad boy? Really looking forward to see the number. April 25 is open dyno day at Lidio's shop.

I am almost done with my special one off custom design KB 3.6 "Rated R" inlet manifold design. Just need to add 3 more structural ribs on the back side (for additional strength support), 2.5mm additional thickness at the front short turn to strength everything and some final touch-up's at the manifold to supercharger main body interface area and the missing fillets. Then we can have a "Real" KB 3.6 vs. VMP Gen 3R (with secret sauce / JokerZ Performance porting works) comparison. Let's see who's inlet design is better - my own design or VMP Gen3R designed by the guys at Magnuson.
