I'm 20, goin in halfs with my dad! I received a $16,000 full scholarship to UT Arlington so I dont have to pay for school, so that helps out a bunch!! So helping me out with the payments is just a reward for doing good in school and not party'n every weekend and getting drunk with my friends.

but everyone needs to stop and realize no matter how you figure it, the reason we can afford these cars is because our parents are well off and pay for everything.

I have friends who make as much money as I do but they have to pay for school, rent, etc.. I get that taken care of for me.

27. This is my 3rd mustang.

When I was 16-18 I drove an Oldsmobile Touring Sedan with over 200,000 miles on it (242,000 when we sold it). I didn't have jack for money and my father handed me down the car.

When I was 19-22 I had a 1978 CJ-5 with a 304 and 33" tires on it. I still had no money as I was in college.

I can afford this mustang and a large mortgage because my wife works too and makes good money. We are DINK's (dual income no kids) until December.

I think that the reason that a lot of these kids can afford an '03 cobra is because they have no expeses. You can make only 20,000 a year and afford an '03 if you have no other expenses.

I have loved cars since I was old enough to hold a match box car in my hand. I didn't buy an expesive car right away. My wife and I purchased our first house when I was 23 years old. At the time I was driving a 1993 Mustang GT with 140,000 miles. The house was a priority. Why have a nice Cobra if you can't keep it in your own garage? We are on our second house now and there is a garage for her too. If I spent all my money on cars, I would still be living in an apartment.

Althought it is impressive to see these kids with expensive cars. I would be more impressed with the 21 year old kid who owns his own house and is smart enough to rent it to his friends to pay for his Cobra.

It looks like a lot of the posts weren't '03 Cobras. I think that may make a big difference in the age of the owners.
