Aluminator oil change.

Hey guys,
For those of you with this motor, do you stick to the recommended 5-50 oil? I just put about 1000miles on mine and i want to change the oil (more of a precaution thing), and i was wondering what oil, weight and viscosity to go with...
I live in FL, and the cold isn't really an issue... just a few low 30s days a year, but several months of 90+ days. Also, the car is turbo'd so i'm sure the oil sees even higher temps due to this. What would you recommend?

If you ask UB he will tell you Amsoil 10 w30 signature or rd30.

I am trying the rd30 in 2 weeks and will submit an lab report at the end of summer.

Should be interesting.

I just ordered 8 qts of the 10w30 signature. It costs me $70. Going to give it a shot...

Couldn't get amsoil here in Europe. Ended up trying motul 300v 10w40.
First thing I noticed was a drop of 5 degrees on my average ECT. So far very happy with it.
The only downside is it's drain interval being only about 5000miles since it's a racing oil. Have you guys tried Motul 300v? Can you get it in America?

Motul makes some awesome stuff, I've used their oil on a 2-stroke bike i had, with great results.

OP FWIW I have been using AMSoil SS 10w-30 for 9000miles (about 11 months) now on my Hellion TT 2013 GT. No issues and I'll prob change it at 10,000-15,000 miles. We have similar weather with us being less humid.

Yeah I have some faith in AMSoil. Seen some UOA's from UB at well beyond 15,000 and they were fine. I am doing a UOA on mine when I change it.

It's a DD and sees WOT weekly. But maybe not WOT daily.

It's not only mileage, it's annual. Severe service schedule for Signature Series is 15,000 miles or one year, whichever occur first.
