Not sure how many hunters are on here, but come fall in central WI deer hunting is a way of life. In fact the opener of gun deer season is a paid holiday where I work. The youth mentored hunt was last weekend for ages 10-16 and my son bagged a pretty nice buck.
Bow season: Shot a trophy doe this past weekend here in Fl.
On a different note. Are place backs up to some state land. Which this weekend was open for mobility impaired quota hunt they can use rifle. Well I let a 8 point walk. 10--5 mins later BOOM. BOOM. Later seen the guy on fence line of state property hanging out. And sure enough the 8 point I let walk was dead.
There has been some 120-130 plus killed on our place and near us. Last year the Fl buck was killed adjoining us.
8 points, 21 inch spread, he weighed 199 lbs. with his guts out. This is a very large buck for my neck of the woods. I'm so pumped. He never stopped, he was about 75 yards out tailing 4 doe. I got him right in the neck so no meat was wasted at all .
