Exactly why I own lots of CDs, DVDs, and the equipment to play them on.

No one is gonna give a shit about DVD, CDs, or any other digital media. That's all available elsewhere.

Oh, agreed. There's no collectibility for a CD or DVD like there is for vinyl.
My point/feeling is that online/streaming availability can be completely turned off by just a few tech companies.
CD/DVD/cassettes and vinyl cannot.

I have 10s of sealed records. I have zero "Mint". I never grade that high. "Near Mint" is a high as I go.
After that it does down to
VG+
VG
VG-
G
P

I use the same rating system, but I grade EX after NM and before VG+
