Anyone else noticing a motor oil shortage?

We were notified here at the plant by our Mobil distributor that certain grades (SHC 600 series, for us 624/630) were going to be harder to get for a while due to a fire at a Lubrizol plant which is where they get some of their additives from. I didn't ask if that meant anything for consumer grade stuff.
Our main day to day usage is Royal Purple and we haven't heard anything from them about supply issues.

Never would I think that paper would be hard to get, but it seems to be an industry wide crisis. We're having a hard time getting paper and envelopes.
Some factories are citing lack of raw materials and some are citing lack of workers.

Absolutely horrible.

Harder to get, more expensive when you get it. Filters too.

Yup them too. I think I paid ~$5.90/each.

I snapped up four FL500S filters just a couple days ago. Out of three local walmart's, that's all I could find.

And all of them were out of standard 5 quart jugs of Mobil1 5W-20 too.

UGH!

Yep, there was a shortage of air filters as well for our trucks. Thankfully one supplier warned us so we bought the 10 they had left

Lol this got me, just ordered.

12 for my race car
12 for the beater
4 for the Duramax
4 for the Fiesta

That was expensive but maybe oil filters will become the next bitcoin lol
No joke, except you can't sell them because you need them haha

Might have to start cleaning out the old ones

Supply chain issue. I have a warehouse full of cardboard bales and we’re having a difficult time getting containers because the ships are delayed

Haven't had any issues at our shop getting bulk or ordering from stores. We did just however start experiencing shipping issues over the past 2 weeks when it seemed other people were experiencing those issues weeks before us so maybe it just hasn't hit us yet.

I was in two different stores this morning and noticed a shortage of oil in both. Neither had very much in the way of diesel oil. Anyone one else seeing this? Any word on the bulk shipment buyer side (dealerships, shops)?
I bought oil for my land cruiser. Walmart had almost no 15w40 so I bought all I could.

Just stick the water hose down in it for a bit. She will come out clean as a whistle (lol)

Just got my 5 Yota filters and 5W30 last night. Got at least two oil changes for the truck, or 1 for the truck, 1 for the mustang. And then the expensive Euro oil which I had to go Valvoline for. 5W40 Euro spec ain't cheap.

Just ordered oil and a filter from Amazon.

Appears Amazon has plenty of M1 for the same price as walmart.

Motorcraft filters, as far back as I remember, have always been made by Purolator and stamped "Made in USA".
Not any more.
Now they say "Majority Content Madd in USA".

In the past year, they've also changed their packaging. Here's a pic of one of the FL500's I bought at walmart the other day:

And when I look on Amazon:

- Purolator still make Motorcraft filters?
- If so, Purolator move to chyna?
- If not, who makes 'em?

Yeah, the last few the boxes have been different.
