I've done the search function and hate to be the one that starts another "gear" thread, but I still just can't decide if the 4.10's will be too much gear. I mean, will I just freaking burn out in 1st? If it's a daily driver will the 4.10's be too much gear?

if you also plan on a t56 swap get 4:10's if not just 3:73s also depends if you get alot of high way

i love my 3:73's its not too much and not too little, ill like 4:10s but i know i will have zero tracshionn... i have no 1st gear and thats off the spray lol

I have 4.10's in my 97 Cobra N/A and still bump out about 230 miles to a full tank of gas. On the highway at 80mph Im at 3k.

I also have a 98 Cobra and I put 31 spline axles and 4:10's in it and love
it. I run 315 sumo on the back but still burn em pretty bad in 1st. Normal
driving I kind of short shift 1st and go to 2nd for pulling away. With the 5 spd
at 65 MPH I run about 2600 rpm's and get about 20 MPG. I like
the 4:10's but if your not gonna track it. 3:73's aren't bad and
will sound alittle more civilized at highway speeds.
good Luck.

If you plan on boosting the car, get 3.73's. If you plan on N/Aing you car, get 4.56s.

If I were you, I would save the money to make sure I know what I wanted to do first.

x1000! 3.73's here. I find it perfect for a centri car. 4.10's would get me into the power band much quicker but with the 3.73's I can still stretch out her legs on highway pulls.

i had 4:56s in my 98 cobra vert with a p1 procharger, dr gas xpipe, and flowmasters...
I was running 7.20s in the 1/8th on ET Streets...
With a good tire like a hoosier Drag Radial, i can almost guarantee you wont be spinning all through 1st on the street...
