Anyone seen this KB 2.2 on Ebay?

Could this thing work again with a rebuild? I guess it is seized up, and the rotors look terrible.

This is it a polished 2.2 L Kenne bell made by Autorotor. These are the ones that used Italian Rogers for the twin screws so far as I know. Fresh back from Kenne bell this is a NON working unit, it will not turn over and needs a rebuild.

Yes, but at the cost to do it…. Not sure many would be willing to throw the moolaa down vs another sc and or new. I am sure we’re talking thousands (plural) to get it right.

So now it’s a polished paperweight.
I’m just wondering if I talked him down to say $500 if it would be worth it.
I know I’d be better off upgrading to a 2.3 whipple new for what this would cost, but I love the 2.2 scream. I only want 550-600 whp max as mine is a street, weekend car show car.

I took that as someone, meaning someone who would buy it for it being a 2.2? Maybe I misunderstood that?

Unless you can find a set of 2.2 rotors for sale I'd pass.

Kenne bell will actually sand lightly damaged rotors. If they are quoting 3k that sounds like KB has determined they are to far gone.

You can talk to John Bond and see if he has a set though. Just be forewarned he isn't very forthcoming with information but it may work out.

I did too. I missed the 3K part it seemed the eBay listing was purposely vague but did include a ballpark I see now. 2.2s will always have a place in my heart but considering 15+ of advancement the new stuff is a bit, well better designed.

My $0.02 cool blower but will ultimately probably be a headache. I think we all look back at those with rose colored lenses.
