place here in town does it and its not bad as far as price IMO they quoted me 125 a wheel for my first gen lightning wheels. Plan on haing them do a bunch of trim off my torino and see how it turns out. pretty cool stuff

That's amazing--I wonder how well it holds up with weather, use, etc....?

The product I saw demoed needed a clear coat after applying the chrome. So it would be similar hold up as your typical paint job would depending on quality of clear coat

Can you use it over an already chromed surface that is badly scratched or must the wheel be painted.

You CAN but that doesn't mean you should. It will look all kinds of strange.

House of Kolor makes the best 'chrome' painted material out there IMO.

Im guessing this is how they do the plastic "chrome" toys and stuff like that? If so, that stuff scratches of real easy, Im guessing this isn't as durable as the actual chroming process is when it comes to buffing it and scratching.
