OK, the Cougar got a new carb. the linkage is a bit different from the Demon it had (why does Barry Grant have to do things differently?) The AOD was installed with the Lokar TV cable dealy. I think 'dealy' is a Lokar technical term.
I've done a lot of reading, calling and question asking. My next step is to call Lokar, but I found the following instructions...and they confuse me:
"Place a 1/16 in (1.6mm) drill or gauge between the linkage lever adjustment screw and throttle lever. CHECK THAT TV PRESSURE IS 5 PSI OR LOWER. If the tv pressure is above 5psi. the linkage is set too long. Back the screw out as necessary to reduce pressure."
The bold underlined portion is my question. What/where is that? Anyone have a clue, before I call Lokar and make a complete ass out of myself?
"Excuse me Lokar? Yes, I spent a lot of money on your fancy thingy. The dealy needs to be adjusted, but the gizmo lever linkage needs a thingamajig. Can you help?
