You have a very smart sense of humor, FJ. Keep up the good work.

I did not say that I did/did not support "frying black guys." I pointed out data. If you are asking, I support prosecuting all crimes, regardless of race.

Yeah, that was a bit of a rabbit hole. I will take full credit for that.

Since you do not know how much (or how little) I may know about religion, I would encourage you to do the same.

I have multiple degrees, and many sources to back up what I say. I do not doubt that you have some knowledge concerning the subject, but I have a history of debating, lecturing, and writing concerning religion. Believe it or not, Science and Christianity go hand in hand.

For sure, I assume that you understand Christianity (although plenty of pastors do not know shit about Christianity or theology, so this is not a given). And I do not doubt that you know about biology, probably more than me. But, trust me when I say that I know a thing or two about religion and theology. For instance:

    1. I wrote a thesis paper comparing art in the church, specifically iconography in the eastern orthodox church to three dimensional art in the catholic church.
    2. I have translated the Vulgate from latin to english. (my latin sucks though)
    3. As part of a Fulbright proposal I wrote a long paper on Talmudic study and the implications for software coding in Israel.
    4. etc.

My point is that I know more about religion and theology than you know about biology. Not meant to be a pissing contest but unless you have a college degree in biology this is probably the case.

Slow at the moment Dale. I put a few things on hold while I work on sorting out a few personal family issues that have occurred. I haven't stopped, but I have slowed down.

I actually took one of your recommendations.

Now you're giving me flashbacks and nightmares about Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

You're right about most pastors being theologically illiterate. I love to debate and discuss controversial topics with atheists, but it is almost impossible to have a conversation with an ego laden, stubborn pastor that refuses to learn, or admit that something may not be correct. Because tradition teaches something many feel it is concrete.

...and no, I'm not interested in a useless pissing match either. I know my strengths and weaknesses. I do not have a degree in biology, but I have studied it extensively. I'm not on the level of @James_Snover and others when it comes to science, but I try to keep current in regard to what is being taught and why. Science in itself is fascinating.

We are brothers, my friend. Latin traumatized me. Seriously the hardest classes I have taken and I have a background in high level math/finance/econ.

My wife has an MBA. I remember her taking finite math. Screw that.

When I studied Hebrew and Latin she thought I was crazy. I had to take it though. It was mandatory, as was many other classes of torture.

Read up on the girl who I think made a magazine cover. She lived down south (don't even remember which country), in a port city, and her husband had a good paying job, and was interviewed as saying they lived a safe and ok life. The wife stolen one of their kids, emptied the bank account and paid a mule to get to the US. He claims she never talked about wanting to head to the US. She straight up robbed him.
