Anyone has any recommendations for a clutch cable kit?

MMCP-52 Clutch Cable, Quadrant, and Firewall Adjuster Package - Out of Stock

OEM Cobra Clutch Cable from Ford - Doesn't exist anymore
If your current cable isn't frayed or anything run it. You can modify it to work with an aftermarket firewall adjuster.

Whats going on guys? Im new here and I have an 04 Cobra 143k miles. My clutch just went out and I plan to do the replacement in my driveway. Im looking for a clutch as well as a flywheel, do you guys have any recommendations? I daily drive this car but I also beat the crap out of it. I felt little to no issue with the stock clutch as I have stock HP. I believe I damaged my flywheel so I will need a new one as well. Im on American Muscle as well as rockauto and the prices differ dramatically. The goal for my car is essentially a fun daily, no hp upgrades until I make the car handle substantially better. I guess for clutches the brands im currently looking at are mcleoud and Valeo.

I have decided to go with the Mcleod setup. What Clutch Cable, Quadrant, and Firewall Adjuster are you guys running on your Mcleod Setups?

how did it go? what clutch did you get? Ive been looking at the Street Pro Organic Clutch with the Mcleod Lightened Steel Flywheel using oem ford TOB and pilot bearing. For the firewall adjuster you can use any brand I just recommend finding an oem cable and filing down the plastic knubs to fit the adjuster.

Congrats, and nice win!!! What mods are done to the car? HP levels definitely depends on the clutch recommendations.

Stock clutches are good for 450-500 hp max. Valeo makes the stock clutch. I believe they can still be found at Rockauto. Spec 2 or 3+ with LPO are good options, they tend to be on/off switches and take some getting used to. McLeod RST is a good street clutch and the RXT is a bit more heavy duty.

I personally run a RXT now and I won’t be running one again. I followed the break in exactly and it chatters so bad when going easy, feels like my car is going to fall apart, but it holds the power fantastic. If I rip on it, it’s a great clutch. Not worth the 2X price tag.

I liked the feeling of the Spec 3+ I ran for years before the RXT.
I thought i was the only one that felt this way about the RXT, I've had 2 installed on my Cobra, I thought the first may have not been broken in properly. I love the pedal effort and great clutch for some track time but i also had the chatter issue no matter the flywheel config that was used either time. Some people say they have no issues with this clutch.
I went with the very expensive Mantic clutch, for the price i expected greatness! Mine chatters a slightly depending on my driving style but my biggest complaint about it is how high the pedal is before engagement. pedal effort is a little harder than the RXT but not by much. I still have my 2nd RXT may send back to McLeod have it rebuilt for a spare.

That's a bummer, but it sounds like you need a pivot adjustment to get the engagement different. I've put centerforce dyads in 2 separate vehicles and love both of them. The 1330ft of torque they can handle should be more than ill ever do.

Is it hard to go from a 10 spline to 26 spline after replacing the clutch? I am looking at getting a mcloed clutch dual disc 26 spline and was wondering if you guys had to take the transmission to the transmission shop to have it replaced.

The 26 spline shaft needs a bearing pressed on and needs to be shimmed from the front cover to have the correct preload. So if you have the tools to press a bearing, a drop indicator to measure play, then you can do it l. If not you will need a shop to do it.

Luckily when I did mine, I had a friend with the tools to help me out.

I believe on the second install of my RXT, i purchased the McLeod pivot ball, didn't notice much difference.

I've heard a lot of positive things about the Center force DYADS. Only experience I had with center force clutches was with single disk on my 2v Roush, it had a built motor S/C, clutch held up great.
