best Oil weight for stroker?

Curious what you guys would consider best for a MMR 1000 stroker 2.2 kB, decked heads 15lb of boost, 5w20 or 5w30? The car is a show queen but will have the occasional race or maybe more just depends. So a cruiser to get on it when I feel competitive. Previous owner ran RP XPR 5w20, no arguing there as my uncle uses RP in his bracket car. My question is 20 vs 30 would I not benefit from the added protection of 30 weight? Old owner told me only 5w20 idk oil is overwhelming and always debated.

When I called MMR they only said the 5w20 was find didn’t correct me and say anything otherwise. I know there are folks on here as knowledgeable as the builders so just wanting some input.
