Lastly, I'll add that the 2019 winner (again) was the 2019 Toyota Camry with 336,978 units sold. Like the prom king and queen returning every year to wear the crown, the Camry has won the hearts and wallets of American car buyers. I've never been a fan personally. Never owned one. Will we ever see an American car manufacturer take over the crown? I surely hope so. You’ll notice there were 6,461 fewer Camrys sold in 2019 than in 2018, continuing a downward trend for car sales that began in 2015 when sales peaked at 429,335 units.

I had an '07 and honestly loved that car. Special ordered a CE version that had the lowest amount of options. Fairly comfortable, slow as hell, but drove good and never had to do a thing to it.

Damn Americans buying foreign S#!T!!!! LMAO. Guess Ford, Dodge and Chevy are happy with being the first loser LOL. You know they could step up their game, but choose not to for whatever reason...……..

Or maybe the younger generation has lost faith in the American dream. I know my parents and grandparents would NEVER even think of buying a foreign car...….. I would never buy a foreign car for myself either. I have always bought Ford until I didn't like the look of the Mustang and ended up buying a 2015 Challenger as my DD.

Even my kids drive Ford products. No foreign S#!T here LMAO!!!

Once you own one of those boring cars you realize why so many people buy them.

I used to be very against foreign cars until I owned a couple Toyotas and worked for Honda.

Gotta love those Camrys! My 93 wagon has 170k on it and when she decides to go I really want to move up to the big daddy LS430.

I had a '96 Camry and had a '99 Camry for the last 10 years or so. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

Beige-mobile? Yup. Reliable and cheap to maintain? YUP!

The Camry is the undisputed car champ. The domestics have been getting their ass' kicked for so long, they just gave up and walked away.

I'm guilty of participation. My family bleeds blue when it comes to work trucks & my parents farm consist of nothing but ford trucks.

I have had my fair share of ford cars... For a commuter nothing really compared to the value that I was getting with my 2020 Camry hybrid. I really enjoy this car.

I had a '91 Camry, it was uber gay. I had a few Honda's, all were sticks and kinda fun to drive.

I think part of it is that people realize the domestic thing is not so clear anymore. Only Subaru plant outside of Japan is down the street from me. They even made Camrys in some deal with Toyota for a while when Toyota couldn't keep up. Lots of friends work at that plant.
