A Clydesdale horse is no joke...
Probably a Belgian. Similar to Clydesdale. Many around my town. They plow the fields with them all Spring..
They do use the horse as a tool, not any type of pet.. To a tourist, they would definitely think it's cruelty. But yes, good neighbors !!
