tried talking my wife (in may of 2019) into taking out a loan and buying bitcoin with it.....she wouldn't sign off on it....so we are having fun staying poor....REKT...BTC was $5k at the time
Now imagine if you bought Doggie coin with that loan. You'd be buying up Treynor's car collection! ;)

I agree that television prices are an exception.

I call BS on the car prices. A top of the line 2021 Mustang (GT500) has a $74,000 MSRP - if you can get it for that price. A top of the line 2004 Mustang (Terminator) had a MSRP of around $35,000. So the price more than doubled in 17 years. Sure you're getting more car.

But with TVs for example you are getting a lot more TV now and yet the prices stay the same or even dropped. I paid $899 for a 32" 720P TV back in 2003. Now you can get a much bigger 4K TV that weighs a lot less and has smart features for the same price.

Why are car prices up so much and TVs not?

With graphics cards, the best in class gamer GPU in 2017 was around $700-750. Now in 2021 they go for $2,000. Sure you get a lot more but again it does not match the price trend for televisions.

Prices are going up for many items.

Today's $1000 smartphone would've taken BILLIONS to create 20 years ago.
Once the research has been done, how much extra energy does it take to make a modern product compared to an older one?

Take the 2004 Terminator vs 2021 GT500 for example. There's about 500 lbs of extra material in there. How many hours does it take to produce a 2021 GT500 vs a 2004 Cobra? I can see the price go up a bit but if the dollar purchasing power had stayed the same it would not have more than doubled in price.

According to a few calculators I tried online an item worth $35,000 purchased in 2004 will now cost around $50,687.37 for a cumulative rate of inflation of 44.8%.

Inflation, supply and demand. False sense of actual value. 2008 proved that. With joe biden running the country it will happen again.

I pulled out a little bit of my gains right before things started to go down at the beginning of the week. Still holding 2,000 ADA and a small amount of VET. Watching the market and waiting to throw it back in. Sad I didn't get into SOL when I was told to at $20.
I am strong on ADA. Hodl that shit ...along with eth and btc. I promise you the gains will be more than you can comprehend. The weak pull out (hahaha) the strong stay IN.

point being ....to offset the inflation and market, it would behoove you to invest in crypto and stocks. Sure the president is a dumb ****....but we still need a piece of the pie.

It's almost like someone came up with an online currency that got turned into an investment that got turned into a currency. The more BITCOIN is used as a currency, the lower it goes. Until the USA issues a dollar backed crypto, the private currencies live another day.

You realize you just called it a currency.

… when in the last week you said it wasn’t a currency?
