quick update:

- engine build has slipped past the 9 th obviously, but is underway (shortblock wise). Heads will be at MP on Friday.

Decided to do a battery relocate to rear. Ordered up a Taylor battery box, designed to fit most Odyssey / optima red /yellow top batteries. I can run a bigger battery, more amperage, to help turn the higher compression motor over. Ordered 1/0 gage welding cable for power and ground. Will be doing this project this coming weekend.

Helluva mod list bro! It will all work out here, hopefully back up and running in October sometime,

Good thread on that: Battery Relocation

Thank you sir!

Good choice on doing the battery relocation at this point... getting antsy yet? :)

Yep, figured do it with engine out, more room to work. Plus, I really want the added underhood real estate! As for being Antsy.....well, sure....just wanna get the show on the road. Been down for 3 months now....and would like to make some forward progress.

Thanks Skaarew04SVT get us some pictures when you can. I would like to see how your build is coming along.

I too am going to put in 105lb injectors to run E85, even though there aren't any E85 station in the state of Connecticut. In fact the closest E85 station around is 2 hours away in New York State.

I am going to buy 4 plastic 55 gal closed chemical barrels, load them into my car hauler, take them up to be filled and bring them back to store them in my garage. (going to build a base to keep them off the cement floor and pick myself up a plastic pump to draw out the fuel)

So i will have two tunes.... one for 93 and methanol, the other E85 !

Just got to sell my near new FRPP 80lb injectors :)

havent been sitting idle waiting, spent the whole weekend doing a battery relocation to the trunk. that is one tedious process (attention to detail).

running a dry cell odyssey 1500dt......880 CCAs, little extra juice to help the starter kick over the higher compression!

and now I have some more free under the hood real estate.....wonder what I'm gonna put there?? Hmmmmmm

guess if you've seen one youve seen em all :bash: more pics will be posted as i receive them!

No I didn't mean it like that lol.. Our motors are most definatley not the same lol.. 8:6.1 compression vs 10.7:1 is a big difference in the appearance of the pistons lol!!! that and your car will have about 200 more hp than me lol..

No AED in Sacramento did my build. John did my first build before this one.. But I bought the motor used with 3 dyno pulls and 2 passes on it. The heads ended up going on it and when they ripped it apart the clearances were waaaay lose like race motor lose. So clearly the guy who I bought it from had John build a race motor that is made to be taken apart ever season for a refresh.. little did I know that it wasn't meant for DD... So anyways my new motor is build by AED in SAC.. Who does amazing work. He also says that John does amazing work to but that my motor was clearly meant for a race car lol

it will be a handful.... i will be running from 17 - 25 psi.

i was running 21 psi with my stock cams and 3.2 upper only on my 2.9 whipple. i will be using the same pulley , however do NOT know how much boost will lower with the custom cams, bigger LTs, and full 3" SW exhaust. we shall see.
