Anyone install a set in their cobra? I've sat in a few different sets in different cars and I really liked them. Was looking to see if anyone had pics in our cars

No I haven't. My stock seats are in excellent condition. They don't need to be re-skinned. I love the stock seats but I feel like I sit too close and too high. I'm not the tallest at 6'2" but I would like to sit a little lower and further back. And I really like the braum seats. Im not a fan of the courbeau seats. Everything else is too expensive. The sparcos or recaros I like are $1300/seat. Where as the braums are $900/pair without brackets
Have you considered recovering your stock seats with TMI stuff?

I only suggested TMI because I assumed your stockers were shot.

If you look at Braum and Corbeau you can see that they are getting their seats from the same suppliers. They just cover them in different materials. Who that manufacturer is I have no idea.

I have looked at Braums site but have not sat in them. I have however sat in some Corbeaus that were of the same design and was impressed with the ergonomics and feel. One was leatherette and another cloth.

My concern with the seats is longevity/durability. I think the leatherette would last longer and have serious concerns about the cloth fading in the sun.

The cloth will breath better though and won't be like lava in the sun.

Honestly I'd have a hard time passing a set up for something like Recaro due to the price increase as well.

If you pull the trigger please make an install thread and update it with the durability.

I can't comment on the Braum, but I've had 2 pair of Corbeau.
I had A4s and they were ok but just not all that comfy.
I have their new LG1s (they changed the design a bit) and I love them. Super comfy, but firm. Nice material. Perfect fit for me (6' 180 lbs)

I had never even heard of Braum seats before this thread. I looked them up and damn I love them. Now I’m considering a pair for my ‘03 Cobra. Thanks a lot! As if I haven’t already spent enough money on this car lol.

If I read the post correctly you might be happy with the stock seats if you could lower them?
I’m asking because I’ve always felt the same (would prefer to sit lower) even daily, but definitely when wearing a helmet.
Does anyone make a set of brackets to lower the stock seating position?
There’s always Kirkeys :)

The 96-98 brackets sit lower, but the seat belt needs to be anchored to the transmission tunnel.

Corbeau offers a shaved seat bottom option that lowers seating position by about an inch. You would only need to do that on one seat it’s about $65 each. Seats start around $900a set

I swapped my OEM 98 seats for a pair of Corbeau LG1s last year. I was worried I'd sit higher in the car, but to my surprise I sit a little lower. Not a lot, but enough to make me happy.
I'm 6' and my knees used to hit the keychain hanging off the key in the ignition. Not any longer.
