    So im in the process of sourcing a 13/14 blower upgrade for my car, there are a few options ive seen on FB groups and stuff but people want like $1700 which, IMO, is absurd for a stock blower. Ideally id like a 13/14 stock blower with lower miles for around $1200 but this leads me to my next point.

    I found a seller who has a fully ported and welded elbow 1320 Junkie Performance blower. Claims the blower has been run for approx 5k miles and made around 950whp with his built motor. I believe these were some hard miles, there are a few videos of him doing some roll racing etc. The blower screams.

    Normally i wouldnt consider this an option because of the potential abuse it has taken but hes offering it at a very appealing price to offload it so he can upgrade.

    The other option I have, is a brand new trinity blower that has been 1320 ported and never run (built for a second motor). But the seller is asking a higher price than the previous mentioned unit. However, i am local to the seller, hes had it listed for some time now, and i might be able to work with him on a fair deal so he doesnt have to ship.

    My questions are...How reliable are the 1320 port jobs? Are the blowers completely rebuilt when they're ported and reassembled? Can i run one of these blowers with a plug n play BAP, 13/14 injectors, and an upper pulley only?

    Im pretty strict with my budget and im willing to wait for the right blower for the right price.

    You are not gonna find a TVS blower for the price you want. Not all of them were takeoffs either. Mine was a brand new Ford Performance package deal and not a take off. I think you are being unrealistic with your price demands.

    That being said, yea they are all gonna be spun hard. Everyone does atleast a 2.4 and usually a 10% lower, so they will all be spun to death. Good thing is these are not like VMP units and last the miles being pushed hard.
    1320 IS THE TVS PORTER. Not one of them. THE guy to go to.
    He usually does not include rebuilds as he asks for just the case with no rotor pack when you send it to him. I am sure there are instances he will, but not always the case

    Another thing to consider is that blower will go over 700whp on a 5.4 without porting. Not sure what your goals are, but keep that in mind. Not sure why you would want to spend the money on a ported blower to be limited by stock 13/14 injectors?

    I respecfully disagree. I think one can be had close to my budget if i look hard or long enough. However, its not that im 'unwilling' to spend a like...$1500. but theres a couple that are for sale at that price that are ported blowers. why would i spend $1500 on an unported trinity blower....? thats all im saying. i think some of these price asks are ridiculous, i understand theyre desired.

    Well thats a little reassuring to hear about the porting, im just wondering if its a VERY bad idea to consider buying a used blower that is currently putting down 925+ on a 5.8 car. FWIW, the blower looks fantastic, its had the elbow welded on and fully painted by 1320. The work looks great. OR potentially trying to work with a local seller for a freshly ported unused blower that came attached to an unfired crate motor. I just think the piece of mind is there if he is willing to make the deal.

    And its not that i want to limit the car with the 13/14 injectors, i just want to stay somewhat conservative to avoid popping my motor. Id be content if i can see 680whp with the trinity swap, 67mm, 13/14 injectors, 123 intake, and BAP. which ive been reading is plenty achievable on 93. This gives me the option to upgrade injectors later and go back for more power...no?

    You should see close to those numbers with the 13/14 injectors, the right pulley, BAP and tunes . I am running a similar set-up but with a VMP Gen2r. I dynoed a couple weeks ago at 656 at the wheels on 93, no additive. I am running out of injector north of that. I have seen the add with that blower that is welded and ported. It is a very nice unit and the way the guy seems to take care of his stuff, I wouldn't be very worried and the price is decent. Worse case scenario is it will need a rebuild in the future and it's $650ish to do that.

    I'd take a close look at the rotors. If they're scarred and beat up, I'd keep looking. If they look fairly pristine, pick it up. Even if it's been spun to the moon and back, they can be rebuilt with new bearings should that become an issue.

    Its a blower that rivals a VMP just without a cool logo. 5.8 guys full tilt see almost 850whp on these things unported. So asking all that for $1200 I think is being a little unrealistic.
    If those are your only mods and trying to make 680WHP, I think you are gonna be disappointed.
    If the ported one that made that power was a steal, I would snag it. Rebuild kits worse case scenario are pretty cheap. If it is not much more for the fresh one, I would grab the fresh one just because.

    Keep in mind budgeting can be a good thing, but when you want to start making big power you gotta spend some money. This isnt going to be a blower and fuel injector and TB swap to almost 700whp by any means.

    thank you all for the piece of mind. im going to shoot some messages around and see what i can do. I do know that i will run into other issues as well, like clutch being the biggest thing. But if i can do the swap and baby the car for what i can, an RXT upgrade will come next for the car.

    So its sounding like the 13/14 injectors arent quite what i thought they were. I thought they were considered a good upgrade for the trinity swap. What other injector options do i have without spending for ID1000 injectors? I see some running the FoMoCo 56lb injectors?

    The 56# injectors are the 13/14 injectors. they are rated at 52-56# depending on the fuel pressure being ran.

    As far as injectors go with what your tuner wants, if they will use DW95 or the FIC1000 they are cheaper than ID1000s but not everyone will tune with them.

    A buddy of mine with a 5.4 clicked off 640-650rwhp with 615tq on a Mustang Dyno after a Trinity swap. Stock upper, 10% lower, injectors, FRPP Twin 65....headers etc. That's an easy 680rw on Dynonometer.

    I bought a brand new Ford trinity blower for around $1700 if i remember right. It's been a while and i dont think you can get them from Ford any longer.

    That said, i made 643 whp with nothing more than the blower (stock pulleys!), injectors, x pipe, and a whipple dual 68mm throttle body.... all on pump gas.

    Plenty of info here: https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/2007-gt500-build.1149231/

    That car ripped... i kind of miss it lol.

    The headers ect is the difference. But we all know that guy that made killer HP. Then we all know the guys than cannot duplicate the same numbers. I am just saying I think his goals are set a little high if that is his only mods

    im sure it goes without saying, but my car has already been pulley swapped and will be running catless as well. FWIW. Ive reached out to my tuner with a to-do list and my goals to see what he has to say. I also reached out to 1320 Performance to discuss the work that was completed on the blower and the responses have been positive and reassuring.

    More to come, and thank you all for the responses. This forum has always been great.

    ```My post for the day
    I know you refer to it as "just a stock blower" but look at is this way
    Trinity blower 2.3L
    Gen2 VMP 2.3L
    Ported Trinity and Gen2R are really close in performance.
    So look at pricing for all those blowers mentioned. That is the market pricing.
    With that being said, on my 5.4 I ran a Gen2R, 13/14 Inj, BAP, twin 67MM, Jlt123mm 2.5 upper, stock lower, stock manifolds and O/R H.......
    Pump 93 Dyno Jet 689/650 Safe tune
    My Gen2R cost me $1800.00 off the market place
    It's also CHEAPER, to buy a Gen2r used than to buy a stock Trinity and than decide to port it later when you decide you don't have enough power
