Looking for feedback about buying an owning a new Volvo suv. Because of svtp I’ve always known what my Ford purchases were actually being sold for so it makes it a no pressure situation.

Does Volvo have a comparable “invoice +” type pricing that we typically shoot for or is there a percent off of sticker that is typical? Looking for a xc40 “r design”

    Any comments appreciated

    A Volvo?

Do you own a Tweed Sport Coat?

The fit and finish of their SUV’s I’ve been in seems to be better then Ford explorers or other comparable vehicles.

Not a tweed sport coat but I do love some corduroy.

They seem like nice daily drivers with some upper trim level appearance in the suvs.

Sorry can't help you on the invoice part

It's a decent SUV all around. Looks to end up being in the $47K-$50K range, MSRP. Have you looked at any other SUVs? Take a look at the Audi Q3. Nice styling and about the same price.

I would say try Costco's car-program and see what you can get.

    OR

Here's a listing of all new 2020/2021 T4/T5 R-Design on Autotrader; I would call the dealerships with the most discount to see how they are getting to the "advertised" price.
Maybe a little road trip to get the one you want...

Main issue I’ve heard about newer Volvo’s is they aren’t the most reliable rides. Not sure on the XC40, but the XC60 and 90 have their share of issues. Would you consider the Lincoln Corsair with the Sport package?

The explore is piece of shit. Ford should be ashamed at some of the crap they're churning out now

It’s been a few years since we bought ours but we got some good money off from purchasing an end of the model year one that was still on a dealer lot.

as far as reliability no real issues in 3 years but in fairness my wife only has 11k miles on her XC90. The thing sure drives nice, though a bit under powered for my liking. Fit and finish is top notch and the leather is damn soft. The only real gripe I have is how slow the nav unit/radio equipment is to load at start up.
