    I'd be happy to.

The difference is my documentation is real, yours is fantasy.

You like that world though, so it all fits nicely!

Many auto reporters were saying from the get-go that it would be nearly impossible to actually buy a C8 at the sub $60K price. For one, almost nobody wants a zero option Corvette. Secondly, most dealerships are going to have them optioned up to begin with. That said, Chevy being Chevy, you can pretty much wipe $10K - $15K off that optioned up price right off the bat. So, that "$80K" car will still sell for as low as $65K. Still not a bad deal at all. I think Chevy may have just reset the MSRP and sale price of the entire sports car industry, especially if the C8 is a performer.

My C8 would be 65k so you only want to compare a loaded vette to a base model shelby?

So what? The sticker on my '17 Z06 was $111k. I'm sure the first owner didn't pay that even though it was a special ordered car. I certainly didn't pay remotely close to that and it only had like 2900 miles on it.

So what? These car are selling for MSRP right now. Just making a point to get these optioned like most people want it going to be more than 60k. GM made the base extremely low and then nickle and dime you on everything(Just like a Porsche). Everyone been saying less than 60k and under 3 sec 0-60 which isn't the case. To get this car to a desired trim level with the performance it going to cost 70k. As usual GM is going to make too many and have to blow them out at year end to make room for next years model.

I don't know who is cross shopping a mid engine Corvette versus a car like a GT500.

Yes both are going to be fast as balls, but the driving experience is likely vastly different. 500hp mid engined low slung 3400lb car versus 760hp front engined 4300lb car. Just seems like two entirely different beasts.

I'm just waiting to see how much of a freeway/roll racing platform the C8 becomes. Hopefully that DCT is durable enough to withstand twin turbskies. I cant imagine that GM didnt design one transmission to fit the needs of the platform for obvious zo6/zr1 power levels but stranger things have come from them.

I cross shopped 13/14 GT500's, Zl1's, and my current C7 Z. I'll be considering a 2020 GT500, C8 Z and a few other cars for my next toy. Anything within my budget and meets certain performance baselines are what I cross shop. I actually enjoy how each vehicle differs from another and depending what I like the most will determine what I buy not specific classifications of 10 or 11 second cars.

True though C7Z is still a similar driveline layout to 13/14 GT500 and ZL1. I feel like the first set you're just comparing a bunch of typical american muscle cars more or less. I think the fact the corvette is now mid engine changes that formula up quite a bit, its not as comparable to a mustang or as an american muscle car as it was before. That's my thoughts on it at least. Maybe it'll come down to who has what inventory available and who is willing to work numbers more than the next guy, ie if a dealer wants to sit on a GT500 thinking its a gold mine vs a dealer that considers a vette just another vette or vice a versa. My buddy is a big vette/gm nut and says a bunch of forum dealers are already working no-bs markup deals with members.

So where is it? Need more time on Google, or lessons in photoshop?

And your right, my car as optioned was $81, not 80, my bad :)

*Most INTELLIGENT people, were already saying that.

If you dont want all the extra gt500 included options, maybe you should be comparing a lebanon ford supercharged GT to th C8 then, since its performance per dollar argument, but only when u want it to be, apparently

Hilarious to see people crying about the performance this car will have for $65K.

During my Raptor fiasco, I was contemplating the ZL1/1LE, C6Z06/ZR1, and Gen2/5 Viper. I guess I’m crazy.

like you said it's gonna be almost 1000 lb difference. Plus mid engine which is better power transfer, and way more traction. The c8 is going to give the gt500 a run. Slap on a SC and you have a 600 whp beast. 59 grand ....slap my ass and take my money !!
