Still new to the world of 5.0! looking for some advice from people who have already installed a CAI on which to choose. Any help would be awesome I plan on buying/ordering one within the week.

Thank you!

I have no comparisons to hold mine to, but I am more than satisfied with my Airaid CAI. The fit and finish on it is amazing and the install is very straight forward. Don't forget about the tune!

Just to point it out, not all CAIs can be used without a tune.

Ones that are advertised as not requiring a tune.

Airaid
Roush
BBK

I think that's all of them.

i like my JLT plastic CAI b/c it matches everything in the engine bay. even the filter too b/c i have a red candy car. I just wish they would offer it w/o the stupid sound tube. even with the block off cap i still wish it was just smooth.

Thanks for the Input ;) sounds like JLT or Airaid are the two most popular. I don't plan on buying one with a tune yet, after i get my exhaust I am going to get a tune ;). Thank you all!

Im goin in the same direction and closing in on c&l brand. Jlt needs tune and not wanting a tune just yet and I heard c&l have little more horsepower gain than airaid.

So are you saying that you are going to wait to get the intake and tune until after you get your exhaust? Or are you going to get the intake, then get the exhaust, then get the tune? I would honestly get the intake and tune first, as unless you are doing an offroad x-pipe or headers with the exhaust, a tune will do very little with the exhaust. If you do the JLT intake, it will require getting a tune to run properly right off the get go.

OP, what is the reason for going with just the intake? Are you looking for power gains, or mods that don't require a tune?
