CAI - open filteer vs. shrouded vs. fender well filter - reduce IAT?

I've got a stock intake tube with an adaptor to an open filter.
Anyone read their IAT like this, then shroud the filter, or relocate it - and see lower IATs?

Want to know how much I should care/spend on trying to move the filter to reduce air temps = minimal reduction vs money spent.
Or, does shrouding filter from heat reduce air flow?
any advise, pictures what your running would be helpful,

once the car is moving is doesnt really matter. Only real reason i run the JLT highboost intake is A) I like how it looks B) I like the slightly larger molded in maf housing
