So I keep hearing a lot about these AED tuned cars being so fast and I want to race one. I'm looking for a similarly modded car as mine to run and see who is really faster. I keep seeing these amazing dyno sheets and I'm feeling a little inadequate in my car barely making 400whp with the same mods.

My car is a 2013 GT Premium with 3.31 gears, MT-82, and no other options.

I have a boss intake, off road H pipe, GT500 mufflers and that's it. I am on stock airbox, stock exhaust manifolds, and I run 93 octane. I dyno'd just over 400whp at a local dynojet a month or so ago and I'm looking for a race.

The car needs to be a manual and on street tires as well as that's what I will be on.

I do have a nitrous kit on the car but this callout isn't about playing games. I will be taking the bottle out of the car as I don't want the extra weight anyway.

I'm looking for a few races. Quarter mile dig, 40-140, 50-140, and 30-140.

Any takers? I'm local to the Tampa, FL area but am willing to meet within a reasonable distance to find a race.

Mods: I don't know if this is the right spot so please move it if applicable.

This would be sweet to see.

The only issue is, there is more to a car winning than just the tune.

A before and after at the track, with the same car and driver, would be a better explanation of the differences.

Hope you get a race though!

Dynos are only a tool....I have not seen any AED numbers but seems like bolt-on 11-13 GTs are putting down

395-410 RWHP....with CAI, Tune and exhaust....you seem in the ballpark?

Boss intake + 93 octane (makes difference?). Shouldn't it be closer to 430 whp?

I see many AED cars making(claiming?) substantially more power mod for mod so I want to see what all the fuss is about. That's all.

Custom tune. I have my own license and software and my buddy tunes the car. I make minor tweaks to it, but he does the vast majority of the work for both n/a and nitrous tunes. We even have the flip switch working to change the tune from n/a to nitrous on the fly :coolman:

Most of that will be addressed in running a variety of different races.

    True.

I guess the best test would be an "all-out" run on the big-end, or a top-end run in just one single gear.

    Hope you find the run!

Do a 30-140 run starting in 5th gear.

I did a race this way before, it's fun, it takes so much longer that the suspense just builds. it's like when hondas race.

What is wrong with time slips from the drag strip? Plenty of people run there. As BMR said there is a lot more to what a car runs then just the difference in tune. Probably more variables then anyone has time to list. lol Plus dyno numbers don't mean squat unless it is comparing pre and post changes.

Example, stock my car dyno'd 355(ish) rwhp. It went 11.98 @ 113. I think there was little more in it as it sat if I launched harder.

Then I added a AED tune, Jeg's cat deletes, harder launches, lighter front runners but added Brembo calipers. The car has not been back on the dyno but it is probably safe to assume it is in the 390-410. But has gone (so far) a best of 11.44 @ 116. I think the mph sows a little low because there was a heavy headwind.

I have seen faster AED tuned cars then mine. And I have seen slower. Usually there is more than meets the eye when you read the time slips. The main thing is be happy with your car and enjoy it. Don't waste energy worry about the other guy. Unless you are betting money on races or something. haha

^ Agreed. I have seen drivers abilities alone make or break a race.

Because there are about 5,162,193 other factors involved in what the cars runs at the track.

I'm interested in racing a high horsepower AED car since those seemed to be the ones with the most power for the mods. I want to see how my custom tuned car stacks up against them. Period.

Now where are all the fast AED cars in Florida at?? There are enough people on this site talking about how much power they make, let's see how they line up..
