Sweet! I got the heat exchanger brackets back today. Looks much better than the original matte black paint with stone chips. They will blend nicely with the AFCO H/E.

The redfire powdercoated cam covers and license plate holder should be back end of next week. I saw the sample spray and it looks great.

AFCO Installed

I have the AFCO installed with the powdercoated brackets. It turned out very sharp.

Tomorrow the HIDS and bumper get put on. I am still awaiting the candy redfire metallic cam covers.

I also took off the plenum on the KB 2.2 in order to powder coat it. It will either be silver or black. I have not decided for certain yet.

Plenum powder coat.

Here are the KB plenum parts that will be powder coated.

I think I am leaning toward coating these all black, but leaving a strip of silver (on the bolted flange) like it has on the front snout of the blower so it matches.

Awesome project,if you're deleting all the EGR crap you don't need that T bracket.

I'm at 20 lbs on mine ,so far so good

Yes, I do have the EGR delete...good point on not needing to coat that bracket.

What pulley are you running for your 20 psi then - 2 3/4" with a stock lower?

Powder Coated Cam Covers

Well here are the candy redfire metallic powdercoated cam covers. Our local powder coating shop that does custom work, Twisted Edge Powder Coating, did a great job.

I think I am also going to keep the Powered by Ford coil covers in lieu of my original Ford Racing ones. I will sell them (after a clean-up) and my new painted redfire cam covers shortly.

powered by ford. looks cleaner and more modern. your car = teh sex

Agreed! The Ford Racing covers looked OK with the standard covers, but were not really my style. At almost $300 though I wanted to use them, but now they will go up for sale.

Thanks.

You're from Peoria, aren't you? Are you the gentleman that used to work for Ford and wrote tunes for them that I've heard about?

Everything looks great, btw!
