A tragedy for sure, but to take over a street like that is not only wrong, it's dumb. I'm surprised the cops didn't do something to shut everything down BEFORE the incident. Took the cops forever to get there. So no cops were aware of this crowd or the fire until the incident with the car was reported? I don't get why towns just let this stuff happen, for fear I guess that if it is stopped a riot will break out. It's wrong, plain and simple. You want to have a party and bonfire then get a permit to do it in a safe spot that won't interfere with those who aren't a part of it. :nonono:
