Guys,
Steig Stage4 port 2.76 upper and 4lb lower.
I didn't get the lbs of boost :(
Had a fuel pump issue a few weeks ago so i added the fore system. 1050x ID injectors. Bassani catback exhaust. A/F was not showing on the graph but he said no lower than 11 on 91 and 11.5 on E54 (i think).

SO a lot of research and education I now understand the different dyno standards. I took my raw uncorrected #s and calculated by hand and on several website calculators the corrected numbers. I decided on the standard SAE 1349. I used conservative information so I feel my numbers are conservatively at least what I am running in perfect conditions. In any case its just a number. I am on drill orders for another week and cant eve drive the fukin thing for a week!!!
see below.

No corrections / SAE1349
Mustang dyno
91 octane
440.8 HP / 470 HP
422.4 TQ / 449 TQ
14 degree timing
uncorrected Barometer at time of dyno 28.685
14 % humidity
107degrees outside hotter in garage (I used 104).
1020 elevation

E54 tune / SAE 1349
476.9 HP / 508 HP
448.6 TQ / 478 TQ
18 degree timing
uncorrected Barometer at time of dyno 28.656
13 % humidity
At least 107 if not hotter by then. High today is 110 (I used 104)

What was your max boost? The numbers themselves on a Mustang Dyno, with a 91 octane tune seems to be in the ballpark of what I'd expect with those mods. Mustang Dynos typically read around 6-13% lower than a DynoJet. I used 10%.

Thx for the reply. I was sad i could not break 500. I do recognize 1 the number does not matter. 2. Its a MDyno. 3. It was 107 outside.

I did not get the max boost. Wish i had.

FWIW, my buddy had the same blower set up as you. I put 18 degrees of timing in with 91 octane. Never got it dynoed though.

I think E54 is when you can really start bumping up the timing. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will step in on that. What I would be curious about are the IAT2 temps. If they were high and it was pulling timing I get it. But if that's where your tuner set it I think you're leaving some power on the table.

Its not my car but you are running too much boost on that little eaton. Thats a 19-20lb setup. Your just creating heat. You won't gain anymore hp by upping the boost. Tq will go up but thats bc its just being overspun but will drop dramatically from heat soak. 91 octane with that aggressive pulley setup and low timing.

Thank you for the feedback. I read a lot and flipped back and forth multiple time between this (2.76) and a 2.93 upper. I decided this route. Seems like a good decision based on the car being super hot during my pulls and still producing lower tq than hp numbers.... but again, you may be right. Time will tell.

I'm pretty sure E54 has 85-90% of the detonation suppression of E85, so 18 degrees seems kind of conservative for the ethanol tune. Maybe you could squeeze another degree or two if the AF stays in check. Cooler fall air......should pick up some steam

IMO depending on your IAT2 and Ambiant that timing does seem a little low. You could most definitely throw another 2-4 Degrees without any issues of detention. But you’re playing very safe. Ethanol has fantastic detention and heat suppression.

IIRC E54 if it’s true has an octane rating of roughly from 100-103 Octane. So you’re plenty safe.
