Has anyone thought about or done a carbon fiber driveshaft swap? I wonder how much power it would free up to the rear wheels.

I know PHP sell's them, but they are like $600   I've seen some in the $400 range that are equally as good. I just wondered if anyone had bought one yet and tried it out.

Of course you should get one.

The best weight to save is either unsprung or spinning. Lightweight wheels are the obvoius choice but Magnesium rims do not last long on the street. So a carbon driveshaft would be the next logical choice.

Not to mention it is made out of carbon. A bench racers wet dream.:D

Im not saying you are a bench racer, only that you will be able to win most bench races hands down.
