Carlisle All Ford Nationals 2017 Mega Thread

Did anyone from SVTP even go this year? Off the top of my head I can't remember seeing anyone I'd recognize from here. I took my Marauder this year, a lot of people commented on the T56 swap. Ended up taking home 2nd place in my class again (first was a 2.3 whipple car and third was a 2.6 kenne bell car). On the way back from getting my award Sunday morning, I ran into none other than Alex Flores (Yolo) from VMP. I talked to him for a bit and brought my car down the hill for him to check out after he did one last pull with "track attack" on the VMP dyno. He told me I need a JLT (funny enough I met Jay Tucker at his tent and was discussing an intake for my car) and a set of cams (all about the chop) and I'd be set.

I was there but not my Cobra. I rented vendor spaces and sold a ton of parts! Hope to have my Cobra and my 68 coyote powered F100 there next year. Great show as always! I spent some time at VMP and JLT tents. Ordered my custom painted engine and coil covers and cold air intake for my F100 from JLT. Great guys to deal with!! Can't believe it doesn't get more coverage on here. Btw, love the mauraders!

Too funny, I was talking to Paul - blackened03 about your car, and how nice it came out.

I was a row or two over, I took my 2013 Raptor, white supercrew with 2014 beadlock wheels, but parked it near the bottom of the hill by the Bosses so I wouldn't have to climb the hill every time I wanted to go to my truck.

I was glad this year we got moved over on the hill so we weren't all parking on the down slope. I didn't have to walk up the steep part of the hill at all this year except Sunday coming back from the VMP booth.

I met a guy 2 days ago here in Nova Scotia with a mint white Lightning. Said he won second place in his class. He was on his way back from the show.

There were four guys at our hotel from Iceland, came here for the show, their first time.

They flew into Washington DC and rented a van, and drove 2.5 hours to carlisle.

They were having a great time buying parts for their classic Fords and checking everything out.

That red Mk VII is also awesome - I have had a soft spot for those cars from the beginning.

Sorry to miss that show this year. Best show I went to, was in 95. I bought a grabber orange 70 boss 302 original paint and interior well under 100k miles for the low price of $11,000.

Yes, all original even the rev limiter, the guy was from New Jersey build ing/ finishing a Boss 429 and needed cash flow. He had it at $17 k through the show, but took my offer of $11k and delivered it 150 miles away Saturday evening

The Coyote swapped LSC is a friend of mine. He has allot of cool stuff including a Saleen coupe,First gen Lightning and some other stuff.
