FWIW, the plate on this Deuce, "THX 138" refers to the '71 film Lucas also made, "THX 1138". He did stuff like that with several cars in the American Graffiti film.

Yes, hoods and trunk lids must be open and all were eventually. I was taking pictures as they were rolling in. Some judges want the doors open so they can see what's hiding under your floor mats. This usually happens when they have too many great cars and have to start trimming down the trophy list. I've seen it boil down to stones stuck in the tires.
