I have 2001 Bullitt with a terminator transplant, it’s starting to show some surface rust and wear and tear underneath. Just wondering if any one has painted the bottom of their car and what product did you use? I don’t want to do the heavy black undercoat treatment. Does anyone know what the factory used?

That was what I was thinking of using too, How did you apply it brush or spray? If you sprayed it, how much did you thin it? I think I read max 5% thinner.

First things first....clean, clean and then clean the surface more until you’re positive that the base is oil and rust free. If the rust is superficial then scuff it with a maroon pad, wipe with grease and wax remover and then have at it. Heck, if the surface is clean enough you can literally spray bomb it with any decent single stage primer/paint
