Check out these cool alternates to jack stands. Do you guys think the 14"H ones could raise the car high enough for tranny work. I'm questioning if a jack can lift the car high enough to get this under the tire??? Looks safer than jack stands...anyone w/ experience w/ these?

Couldn't you just build wooden ones.

I like those ramps too! A little pricey but nice products.

It scares the piss out of me to get under a car that is just on jack stands. I have a set of race ramps and and these new wheel cribs look like a good idea.

I like Race Ramps new Portable Pit Stop:
NEW! Portable Pit Stop Ramp - Car Ramps | Quickly get your car up 14," great for Mechanics, Racers, and Rally Car Drivers! | RaceRamps.com your best solution for Lightweight Car Ramps!

Just have to shell out $2800 for it.

That's...... REALLY expensive for some plastic.

Obviously it wouldn't be as light or portable, but you could build the same thing at Home Depot for probably under $200.

Looks dangerous. If its done outside looks like a little gust of wind will blow the car over.

+1 Yessir... nail a bunch of wood together. One of my good friend has had his Cobra on those wooden blocks more than it has been on the ground.
