Cool idea to raise car for tranny work..

Check out these cool alternates to jack stands. Do you guys think the 14"H ones could raise the car high enough for tranny work. I'm questioning if a jack can lift the car high enough to get this under the tire??? Looks safer than jack stands...anyone w/ experience w/ these?

It scares the piss out of me to get under a car that is just on jack stands. I have a set of race ramps and and these new wheel cribs look like a good idea.

That's...... REALLY expensive for some plastic.

Obviously it wouldn't be as light or portable, but you could build the same thing at Home Depot for probably under $200.

I can get a 4 post lift delivered to my house for 1800 they can go suck an egg for 2800.
