What are some cool places to go for a 23 y/o single guy in L.A.? I've never been to Cali, so I decided to say screw it and go out there for a week. I'll be there Oct. 24-29. . .

Any suggestions?

I know from my local library that there has been writting A LOT(!) of books about the subject, and I even live in a different country! :) Maybe you should go visit the library, maybe they have some books with good ideas.

When I'm going to Cali in a couple of years I'm gonna see those huge trees, they should be the second largest trees in the world.
But I'm not sure if the national park(s?) with them is located near L.A. sorry :-(

Btw. Hollywood is located in L.A. so maybe you could visit some of the movie places on their tours and act like a real tourist :)

Here is your Itinerary:

Friday- Arive, get ready, and head to Phillipes the best Sandwich shop in town.

Fri night- Go to Hollywood blvd/ Sunset blvd and check out the stars. Maybe get into a club or 2. Or just take the drive from the 101 on Sunset blvd through Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

Alternative option- Santa Monica pier (2nd street).

Sat day- Head to either Malibu or Huntington Beach for a day on the beach. Big waves, really hot chicks with minimal clothing.

Sat night-Eat at BJ's Pizza on main street HB. Check out the Block/ Down Town Disney / or Irvine Spectrum for a variety of things to do.

Sun- Pick a hobby and do it. You can hike, Jet Ski, Water Ski, or anything you want in under a hours travel.

Northern Ca is much more beautiful. Less smog. Tons of Red Woods and Sequoias. Unbelievable scenery.

I drove in L.A. and then right out, and didn't bother to stop.. Took Pacific Coast Highway (I think thats what it's called) from L.A. to San Diego and the scenery was awesome. San Diego is an awesome city too..

"Sat day- Head to either Malibu or Huntington Beach for a day on the beach. Big waves, really hot chicks with minimal clothing."

-I'm going to have to write that one down.

"Go on a date with a porn star!"

-Not a bad idea.

Def go to Malibu. I recommend eating at Nobu if you like Sushi<Big star hangout, I saw Adam Sandler there last time I was there. If you dont like Sushi, try Dukes. It is right on the water and their food is amazing. Oh, and check out Peperdine, you'll wish you were going to college there.

L.A. is full of alot of things to do bro? What do you like? Stay away from Hollywood. That place is a major dump. Orange County is nice. Disney, Knott's, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, City Walk, Downtown Disney w/ESPN Zone....if you like amusement parks. Sea World, San Diego Zoo...if you're into animals. Santa Barbara is about 1.5-2 hrs north...if you want to get away from the crowds. Tons of beaches...I'd stay towards OC if you want to do that though, Huntington, Newport, Balboa, Seal. Queen Mary in Strong Beach....I'm biased cause that's where I got married. If you like the mountains Big Bear is an hour or two away. Traffic can really suck though so be prepared.

So... I'm basically going to either get to LA and then leave to go somewhere else...

-or-

Get to LA. Visit some beaches. Bang some porn stars, bang some movie stars, bang some regular chicks, and then get in a fight....

Sounds like I'm going to be too busy to see Jay.
