I can't find anything on this and I wanted to know if anybody has tried to add one and if it works or not. What's the pros and cons of running one? It's job is to remove crank pressure from the crank so you have less blow by and so on and less stress on the motor.

Short store why I'm asking is, a friend just had a built ls7 motor built and he added one. the car was on the dyno and he showed me what it made with the vaccum pump off and then put it on. He picked up 38hp and 45q. and he is running na. he said boosted motors would even see more power. He says I could see some where around 50hp just by adding this pump. I would normally call bull s... but I saw the dyno for my self.

adding 38 hp to an NA engine with just a vacuum pump which includes the parasitic drag of the pump seems to be a bit of a stretch. If that was the case everyone would be running them.
