How many of those 2022s do they have in stock? Local Ford dealer here has up to 12k off msrp and 2.9 for 72 months on 2022 f150s. But they don’t have much to choose from. 3 of them are on the lot.

These 3 I mentioned are still from 70k-80k after the discount because they are either Sherrod, or Rocky Ridge editions. But looks like they can acquire other f150s from their dealer group network. So with that it says 46 are available for that deal.

Ford killing off the Edge/Nautilus and maybe the Escape now. Mazda has a new CX-30 and CX-50 and bringing out a new CX-70 and CX-90. Ford does have the Bronco. EV's at Ford sucking all the development money.

The new Ford F-250 and F-350 6.8 gasser XL STX trim trucks are getting a lot of good reviews. Price and towing performance are apparently topnotch.

Good article on truck sales. Comparing year ago is tough since RAM did a better job with inventory than Ford or GM did. Ford is doing a much better job with inventory now and sales reflect that. RAM struggling to keep that market share.

Automakers likely driving toward overproduction - UBS

TSLA -4.02%Apr. 05, 2023 11:46 AM ET11 Comments
An analysis by UBS indicates that automakers could be headed for overproduction amid normalizing supply chains, reversing the trends that caused prices to soar in recent years.
The analysis offered by a team of analysts led by Patrick Hummel pointed to global production reaching 85.8M units in 2023, overshooting the team’s sales forecast of 81M units. As such, inventories are expected to exceed pre-pandemic volumes for the first time as demand slows and production bottlenecks are alleviated.
“OEMs argue with pent-up demand, but that expectation is not supported by latest macro trends. Given the bullish production schedules, we see high risk of overproduction and growing pricing pressure as a result,” the team told clients. “The price war has already started unfolding in the EV space, and we expect it to spread into the combustion engine segment in H2.”
That said, Hummel’s team expects luxury automakers to remain resilient, with Porsche AG

More people are taking on 84-month auto loans when it comes time to finance new and used cars. By the end of 2022, consumer credit agency Experian found that 84-month loans were underwriting nearly one-fifth of all new-vehicle purchases and 11 percent of used-vehicle purchases, according to Automotive News.

I used zip code 29033 and 150 miles on cars.com and there are some crews under 50k but almost all XL trim level.

No surprise with the XLT level F150's starting at/over ~$50k
I know GM Finanical had an 84 month loan option last year.
4.34% was the offer at that term.

Thing about these new trucks, not a single one of them warrant that kind of price IMO. I understand production/component costs. But that 50-60k XLT is as capable/nice as pretty much any preceding truck of the last 10-20 years for a 1/3 of the price
