I am looking for addition ideas to help straighten the pinch welds, as they are nearly folded closed. I've tried vice grips but the pinch welds seem to be unable to bend back straight. My next last resort is to go by a $100 mig welder from Harbor Freight and some steel scraps. This may give me additional torque leverage.
