Is it just me or is it a rare sight to see an 05 Mustang on the street? I have only seen two on the road since they hit the showroom (when the new Mini came out LA was infested with them overnight). I wonder how well they are selling.

I have only seen 1 on the street, but every dealer I go to has 1 V6 model or nothing in stock. They get them then sell out. They arent even letting people do test drives at most of the dealerships without putting on a deposit!!!

I think they are progressivly releasing them so the dealer can make a mark up on them. They (ford) are not flooding the market with them.

The Ford dealerships in the Bay Area/ CA are f*cked in the head if they think people will pay the markups we're seeing. At Walnut Creek Ford : $1900.00 over sticker. Future Ford: $5900.00 over sticker, and it gets even better. The one salesman I spoke with at W.C. Ford says he hoped Ford keeps supplies low so they can keep charging "premiums". What's worse though- people are actually paying these prices. Whatever...

Saw my first Redfire GT in person in San Diego. I think they look like ass. In pictures AND in person. Nice lady though, loved her car. I have to ask though, what type of tires are on the GT's stock? Looks like some all weather POS instead of any sort of performance tire. First thing I noticed. Just didn't look right.

Here in Houston...I've only seen 1 on the street so far! However, there has been a hold on the IUP and they are just now getting production dates for cars ordered in Sept & Oct.

Mine is "supposed" to be built on 12/06 along with a lot of others orders!

By the way I am getting mine for $500 over factory invoice! :pepper:

I just saw '05 GT coupes within 5 minutes of each other....spoke to one owner who told me it was way faster than his previous stang....I told him I have an '03 and he said his is faster....I just said OK and walked away....my wife asked me if I told him that I had a cobra....my reply was no and we both laughed to each other...

did like the looks and sound of it...one was red and the other was silver....

I've seen 3 on the road. One was pale green, one was white, the third was grey. In my opinion they are hideous. I was going to wait for the new cobra to come out, but after seeing the new body style in real life I decided to get my 03. That and I didn't want to wait 2 more years.

There are dealers now selling 05's well under msrp. Anyone who would pay over sticker for a mass produced Ford product needs financial counseling. How do you think the fools that paid the additional "market adjustment" on the Mach1 felt when they talked to those who bought the same car new, for 7K or 8K less a matter of months later? 03/04 Cobras sold in the mid to high 30's-try to trade one of those today on any new car and get low 20's. Be carefull, these are not the hot items that some dealers want you to believe.

I've seen TONS! But that's how it always is in N. FLA, Mustangs are the most common vehicle. Mostly V6's though, probably only 5 GT's.

It was funny, I was looking at real estate with my dad yesterday and he said he hadn't seen one. I said 'really, they are everywhere, I'm sure I will see one today'. Two minutes later I see a cherry red GT and point it out to him. It was funny. :rolling:

Never, ever, ever pay much over invoice for a Ford,.....unless your rich, then do whatever you want.

You think that's bad??? What about the guys who bought a new GTO when they first hit the street for way over sticker? They have to be throwing up all over their shoes right now. :xpl: There were some seriously deep deals on a new GTO when they figured out the public didn't warm up to the looks of it. Why do you think GM did a big redo on the exterior so fast??

Yet another example of people being financially hammered by purchasing hyped cars. 04 GTO's are advertised now 9,500 off sticker before any negotitiating.
