Eaton posi go in an IRS???

I was going to convert my 03 cobra to a solid axle. I had Moser 31 spline axles, eaton posi, and a new catback.

Now i just have the eaton posi and someone said i could still use this in my IRS to make it stonger. . . is this true? I thought it would only fit in the solid axle???

should fit fine. my buddy just put one in an 03 with 600rwhp.

I thought their was an eaton posi in the IRS. If i am not mistaken you can take the one out of the IRS and exchange the shims and put in a solid axle. That is what i am going to do (not me but the FORD TECH)

it will fit and work fine... the IRS is still an 8.8 rear

so at what point would i need something like this in the IRS??? I havent heard of many people putting this into IRS's . . . is it cause they dont need a new one until much larger power levels? I also was going to put 31 spline axles into the solid axle, but since im staying with IRS now . . . will i need anything else put in the IRS besides the differential?
