Hey does anyone have opinions on or experience with electric exhaust cutouts?

I know they usually cost close to $500, but I found a generic brand set on amazon for $175 and I'm debating if the crazy cheap set is worth the gamble.

Seems like it has all the same pieces as the name brand kits. Am I missing something?

Sorry for repost, I don't think anyone reads exhaust category specific forums anymore lol.

I have a friend who had these and I really don't like it, at some point it got stuck as open and didn't work anymore. He had to remove it

I wouldn't recommend them. I installed some on my Impala and everything was installed properly. I could never get them to seal properly, after numerous attempts (I'm an auto tech by profession). They sound great open, but closed is the complete opposite. Sounds like a bad exhaust leak. Needless to say they are off and will never be on another.

When customers want Cutouts we install the QTP Sets, and they work very well. No issues so far.
