I am looking for a complete guide to torque specs, mainly the engine. I have seen the red/blue pill from postban, and it is good, but no engine specs. I need the complete motor, flywheel, clutch, everything if possible. I have searched, so please dont go bashing me. If ya got it please help me out. I am suprised no one has stickied it yet. It seems to be important info.

this is as good as I can get it to look without spending forever on it. the first # on the torque specs is newton meters, then foot lbs, then inch lbs. most everything that has more than two bolts in it has a tightening sequence. as a rule I usually start in the middle and work my way out evenly to the ends. the best way to get all the info is to buy a outdated service manual disc off e-bay.

Great info! I will be adding it to the FAQ page on my website. Question. At the bottom of the torque specs it says the first # on the torque specs is newton meters, then foot lbs, then inch lbs. But looking at the numbers it appears that unless the number specifically says newton meters (nm) that they are shown as foot lbs. and then inch lbs. For example,

Oil pan-to-cylinder block bolt Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
Vacuum accessory bracket fasteners 10 — 89
(this would be ft. lbs. & in. lbs.)

That is incorrect. 89 in*lbs does not equate to 10 ft*lbs. The dash in between the 10 and the 89 depicts that there is no spec in ft*lbs. That is, the 10 is in Nm and the 89 is in in*lbs (10Nm - 89in*lbs).

They only show the ft*lbs spec in parenthesis when the bolts require stage tightening.

Wow old thread. They should be in some other thread via search.

18 in-lb
18 ft-lb
90 degrees

There is a specific sequence, but I don't bother remembering it since I have he helm manual.

That's a great link for removing/installing the Eaton.

it is a section from manual..the dvd version can be copied but i have only found 1 way to share that keeps pics ...and its 1 of thousands of sections,
dvd is all ford models 03 and 04

what is good is most cell phones will except it..for on the spot help when brokedown...

my cell doesnt but i found another site that converts file that mine will except..
