Exciting new buy.. had to share.

Picked up this 2007 one owner GT500 with 6810 miles on her. Im super stoked about this car!! It sat in a garage for the last 10 years. Undercarriage is immaculate. Interior and engine bay super super clean. Time capsule type of car... im so stoked on it!

Im coming off a 2014 twin turbo GT that went 10.8@131 on 9psi so this car feels slow but that will change.

The experience driving it is totally different. Definitely feels heavier.. but it also feels more solid. My GT was a base model so this car is obviously a step up in many regards.. the Shaker 1000 audio, the red lit gauges, the programmable shift light, the leather interior. This car has 2 mods: Magnaflow street axles backs, and Eibach Sportline springs (yuck!). Otherwise, she's a total virgin.

Such a nice car! Cant wait to uncork the engine and wake her up!

Excuse the leaky driveway.. .Wife's Suburban needs a diaper!

Going to have a good time building it. I originally wanted a stripe delete car but this color combo is growing on me.


Funny thing... Took it on the highway last night and was able to stand on it for the first time. It barely starts to get boiling around 38-3900 rpm or so and i start hearing a dinging sound and the SVT on the gauge pack starts flashing???? Im like WTF did i just do?

Then i found out about the shift light. Looks like OG owner had the shift light set at 4000 rpm. Too funny.

Congrats, OP. Looks like you scored a really clean ride. I'm in the minority but I have always preferred the rear end of the first gens. Just reminds me more of the retro it was designed after in the first place.

Also I'm normally a fan of stripe deletes but I'm with you. On this combo it looks great. If you change it maybe do black stripes. Almost like ghost stripes.

i couldn't find a nice 13/14 for less than $45k and i didnt want to spend that much.

I was able to get mine for $29,750. Decent deal.. not the best, but good. Considering the condition of the car, im happy.

I actually missed out on a white 2008 with HIDs with 7k miles for $28k in Orange County... it sold in a day.

Trans is a dream so far! My '14 GT was an MT82 car and while i thought it shifted good, this trans does shift better and is more positive in the feel. Less rubbery feeling than the mt82 shifter.

I have the 3.73s left over from my '14 when i swapped 3.27s into it... they will find their way back into duty in this car real soon! With the less aggressive TR6060 gearing (vs mt82) this poor thing needs gears!
